MetriScan Finger Bone Densitometer

Medical Device Name: MetriScan Finger Bone Densitometer

Model: MetriScan

Condition: Full Unit in Good Working Condition

Inventory Status: In stock

Product Overview

It is used for rapid and low-dose finger bone mineral density detection, assisting in the diagnosis of osteoporosis and assessment of fracture risk.

Core Principle & Detection Site

Technical Principle: Adopts Radiographic Absorptiometry (RA) combined with Storage Phosphor Technology (SPT) to measure bone mineral density via X-ray digital image absorption method.

Detection Site: Middle phalanges of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th fingers of the non-dominant hand.

Core Parameters: Automatically calculates T-score (compared with healthy young females for osteoporosis judgment) and Z-score (compared with population of the same age, gender and race to analyze the causes of bone loss).

Key Technical Parameters

  • Device Specification: Tabletop type; Dimension: 40.6cm×40.6cm×40.6cm; Weight: 18.8kg
  • X-ray Parameters: Voltage 60KV, Current 0.333mA, Exposure time: 0.3 seconds
  • Radiation Dose: Single effective dose 0.012μSv, approximately 1/10000 of a standard chest X-ray, safe and controllable.
  • Detection Efficiency: Exposure time<1 second, test result available in 40 seconds, the whole process (including report printing) ≤ 2 minutes..
